Why We Use MDDB
Mock Draft Scores uses two data products from the NFL Mock Draft Database (MDDB) ↗ to power prospect rankings and team needs. Both are crowd-aggregated from dozens of analysts, making them the fairest single baselines available.
Consensus Big Board Accuracy
The MDDB consensus big board aggregates dozens of analyst rankings into a single composite. On average, 27.6 of the top 32 prospects on that board are actually drafted in Round 1 — an 86.3% hit rate across 2021–2025.
Top Team Needs Accuracy
How often does a team's Round 1 pick match one of MDDB's top 4 ranked needs? On average, 27 of 32 teams address a top need — an 84% hit rate across 2021–2025.
Bottom Team Needs Accuracy
How often does a team's Round 1 pick match MDDB's bottom 4 needs? On average, ~2 of 32 teams draft for a bottom need — rare but notable.
All MDDB data is sourced directly from nflmockdraftdatabase.com ↗. Mock Draft Scores does not claim ownership of this data and links to the original source throughout.
