How Consensus Data Powers Mock Draft Accuracy Analysis

The NFL Mock Draft Database aggregates prospect rankings and team needs from dozens of analysts into consensus baselines. Mock Draft Scores leverages this aggregated data to answer two critical questions: how accurate are pre-draft prospect rankings, and how often do teams actually draft for need?

The consensus big board analysis tracks how many of the top 32 ranked prospects go in Round 1 each year (86.3% average hit rate), while the team needs analysis examines whether first-round picks align with pre-draft positional needs (84% match rate for top-4 needs). Together, these tools help mock drafters build more data-informed predictions.

For a different angle on accuracy, see the MDDB consensus mock accuracy page, which scores the consensus mock itself under the Huddle Report scoring system β€” or compare individual analyst accuracy on the mock draft leaderboard.
