The 2026 NFL Draft set a record with 5 Polynesian first-round picks β about 16% of Round 1: Spencer Fano (OT, Utah, #9 to Cleveland), Francis Mauigoa (OL, Miami, #10 to the Giants), Vega Ioane (G, Penn State, #14 to Baltimore), Makai Lemon (WR, USC, #20 to Philadelphia) and Caleb Lomu (OT, Utah, #28 to New England).
Utah produced two of them, and the Patriots traded up to land Lomu. Lemon, the 2025 Biletnikoff winner, shared 2025 Polynesian College Football Player of the Year honors with Fano. Fano's brother Logan went undrafted and signed with the Browns.
